A couple of things you might like to know:

My name is Shelby. The name throws some people, so I'll get it out of the way now: I'm a guy. If we discuss your project over the phone and I sound like a man, that's why.

I put tremendous effort into making each of my designs match the productions they represent. I'm not a big fan of generic logos, so I will want to know a little about your concept or vision. Nothing transcendental or anything, but we'll both be happier with the final product if we know where we're going from the start.

Drama Doodles was born when a drama teacher (my father) licensed a logo from MTI but had no idea what to do with it. I got roped into helping him and talked into creating posters for his other upcoming productions. Word spread like wildfire in his school district, and before long I was contacted by other directors. To get paid for my work, I needed a name for my business. My wife knew I used to doodle show logos instead of paying attention in class as a teenager, so she suggested Drama Doodles. Cute, isn't it?

With a small portfolio in hand, I put together a website, mentioned it on a few Broadway message boards and started getting hits from all over the country.
